Dear Booksellers,

For any of you who order from Ingram Book Group, I was advised by the book buyer for both of my books that in the event that your database search indicates just a few copies are available, you should NOT hesitate to place an order Anyway, even a Back Order, so that they (Ingram) can adjust their expectations for upcoming inventory of the books.

Indeed, both publishers (NIU & UPK) indicate that there are stocks of books available, so that the software can appear misleading to you, if you go to place an order and find only a single copy in, say Texas, for example, and you're in Michigan.

Ingram indicated that you should place the order anyway; they will get the books and fill your orders. Many of you may know this; it's just that I have run into the situation recently at a bookstore where I spoke and the store could not obtain sufficient copies (to their liking) of one of the books, and when they saw a small 'inventory' message on Ingram, the message impeded their pursuing ordering because they thought it was futile. It is NOT, though!

Thank YOU ALL for your support of my work!

Jennifer
